Job Description
A perfect candidate loves working with children. They would have a natural ability for teaching, and are competent swimmers.
Your job duties would primarily include teaching young children (of all ages) usually between the ages of 3 and 12 how to swim; some of them with significant fears. On occasion, you may also work with adults who want to learn to swim. You must be patient, compassionate, and able to connect with and engage children. It is critical for a person to also be able to know when and how to hold boundaries and appropriately discipline.
Your duties also include engaging the parents in their children’s lesson, educating them on their children’s progress, giving simple “homework” and developing a relationship with clients that encourages openness and communication.
You will perform basic pool opening and closing procedures (checking walkways and entry ways for safety issues–addressing said issues, covering pool, checking pool chemicals, etc). You will be required to read, memorize and abide by various policies and procedures to ensure the safety of clients and maintain continuity in related business processes and procedures.
